What options do you have?

Buses

Public buses: the bus network in the region is well developed. Timetables are available online and at local bus stations.
Split – if you want to use public transportation in the area, it will be most efficient if you download the app to your phone. It will allow you to check schedules, connections, stops but you will also SAVE money on tickets with it!
Visit the Promet-Split website or download the app on your phone.
You can also follow the buses in the live preview. The route network of this carrier is really large and you will get to practically all the more interesting places in the area.

Attention If you arrive by plane at Split Airport, bus line 37 from the stops in front of the airport itself will conveniently get you to Split and Trogir. If you need to get to Čiovo, you can take the same line to the Trogir bus station (kolodvor) and walk if your destination is close or, for example, towards Slatine/Arbanija/Mastrinka take bus line 42 TROGIR-SLATINE
If you need to go in the direction of Okrug Donji, take Line 44.

Non-public buses: the easiest way to check is on the GetByBus website. You can find connections in virtually any direction you need.

Train

Trains: Although the rail network in Central Dalmatia is not as dense as in some other regions, train travel can be a convenient option for getting between major cities. The schedule can be found here. However, I will mention right away that train travel in Croatia, is not a pleasure. For example, the route from Split to Zagreb takes about 8 hours. Connections to Šibenik take from 1.5 hours to as long as 9 hours!

Ferries

Ferries: Central Dalmatia also includes islands, including. Hvar, Brač or Korčula, which can be reached by regular ferry services to major ports such as Split.
Jadrolinija, the largest and official pore line, offers a very wide range of destinations, from the nearest islands to a crossing to Italy. You can conveniently buy tickets online, on the carrier’s website. During peak season, the ferry is a common choice, so don’t leave buying tickets to the last minute.
